Community Folk Sings August 9 and 30

Join us this Saturday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:30 for an all-request sing-along! Bring instruments, friends, neighbors, and children. We’ll have Rise Up Singing books, and Uptown Bill’s will provide the cozy atmosphere.
There’s free parking evenings and weekends in the UI lot across the street from Uptown Bill’s.

Looking ahead, plan to check out Uptown Bill’s Labor Day Weekend Fair on Saturday and Sunday, August 30 and 31. As part of the musical line-up that weekend, we’ll host a Community Folk Sing on Saturday the 30th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Community Folk Sings are hosted by the Family Folk Machine (a Senior Center group) and Uptown Bill’s on the second Saturday of each month.

The Family Folk Machine is cranking into gear for our fall season. We’re going to kick things off with a retreat culminating in a sing-along at Sugar Bottom campground amphitheater at the Coralville Lake on Saturday evening, August 16, from 7:00 to 8:00.
